About

Glimpse of Buddhist Kingdom:

The Kingdom of Bhutan remains one of the world’s least accessible countries. With its ancient Buddhist culture and tradition untouched and unspoiled by outside influence, its traditional buildings still intact and well maintained; at times one feels it’s unreal to have such a kingdom still existent in this 21st century.

This tour suits the people who have limited time to travel yet want to see the cultural side of Nepal with its ancient temples and cities and also want to see the best places in Bhutan. We start the journey by taking the fifty minutes flight from Kathmandu to Paro by Druk Air, Royal Bhutan Airline. Weather permitting we get fantastic views of the Himalayn rages on this flight including Mt.Everest and Mt. Kanchenjunga. In the capital Thimphu we visit the local markets and appreciate the monasteries and forts that reflect the deep cultural heritage of this remarkable Buddhist kingdom. We will also visit the Dochu La Pass (3080 m) to get views of the Himalayan ranges. In Paro we visit the famous museum and take the 2 hour walk to the impressive Taktsang Monastery nestled on the cliff edge high above the Paro Valley.

A brief way to say would be it’s a short but culturally colorful and vibrant tour encompassing the best of Nepal and Bhutan.
